Back to the ground floor, we enter the Pantry Room. Rossini’s wellknown passion for gourmet surfaces in the titles of his “sins of old age”, compositions often ironically dedicated to hazelnuts, radishes, pickled vegetables, dried figs… his “simple, old-age weaknesses”. When one opens the drawers of this unusual pantry, Rossini’s music springs forth alongside its visual interpretation by Massimo Pulini, the first artist involved in the ambitious project of translating Rossini’s delicacies into images.
